The Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association announced on the 16th that it will open a global business development (GBD) specialized training program tailored to the needs of practitioners in the business development field on the 13th of next month.

The association explained that this training, featuring a large number of GBD experts who have achieved pioneering results in the pharmaceutical and bio industry and offering a differentiated curriculum, allows participants to gain condensed experience of the successes and failures of leading companies.
The GBD training program is divided into online lectures (21 sessions), an offline workshop (3 days, 21 hours), and online expert interviews (10 sessions). The online lecture course consists of ▲Understanding the practical process of pharmaceutical and bio business development ▲Basics of international contracts ▲Understanding license agreements ▲Patents in the pharmaceutical and bio industry ▲Full-cycle pharmaceutical education ▲ChatGPT. The accompanying offline workshop covers ▲Contract drafting and review ▲Alliance Management Partnership case ▲Analysis of technology export/import (License In & Out) cases ▲Analysis of domestic and overseas specifications ▲Negotiations for technology export/import (License In & Out).
The online expert interviews feature participants such as Lee Gwan-soon, former Vice Chairman of Hanmi Pharmaceutical; Yoo Geun-soo, former Executive Director of Dong-A ST; Kim Yong-ju, CEO of LegoChem Bio; Hong Yoo-seok, former President of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK); and Yoon Tae-jin, Executive Director of Yuhan Corporation. They share their success experiences and know-how on topics such as ▲Secrets to GBD success ▲Becoming a GBD expert ▲Business development (BD) perspectives of global pharmaceutical companies, and present the competencies that GBD personnel should possess. Kim Jae-hyun, Executive Director of Celltrion Healthcare; Yang Won-seok, Director of DND Pharmatech; Kim Do-young, Center Head of Daewoong Pharmaceutical; and lawyers Cho Won-hee and Kim Yong-ha of Delight participate as expert instructors in both online and offline training.
