SK Hynix NAND Subsidiary Solidigm
SK Hynix announced that its NAND flash solution subsidiary, Solidigm, held a board meeting on the 11th (local time) and appointed SK Hynix President No Jong-won and Solidigm Division Head David Dickson as new co-CEOs.
The Solidigm board has been continuously searching for a new CEO since October last year. They determined that President No, who has been leading business optimization and the data center SSD business, and Division Head Dickson were the right candidates and appointed them as CEOs.
New CEO No graduated with a bachelor's degree in physics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and completed his master's and doctorate degrees in technology policy at Seoul National University. He demonstrated his capabilities in business strategy formulation and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) while working at SK Telecom and SK Hynix. Since the end of last year, he has served as Solidigm's Chief Business Officer (CBO), discovering new business opportunities and leading external partnerships.

New CEO Dickson graduated with a bachelor's degree in engineering from California State University and a master's degree in engineering from Stanford University. He is an enterprise SSD (eSSD) expert with 28 years of experience at Intel. Until recently, he led Solidigm's Data Center Group, overseeing SSD development strategy and product planning.
SK Hynix and Solidigm stated, “We have appointed two executives who are well-versed in Solidigm’s business and technology, which has strengths in enterprise SSD, as co-CEOs," and added, "this will accelerate the combination of capabilities and synergy creation between the two companies.” They also added, “We will strive to optimize the integrated product portfolio of both companies to provide customers with more differentiated value.”
Solidigm is the former Intel NAND business unit acquired by SK Hynix in 2021. Previously, SK Hynix CEO Kwak No-jung served as Solidigm CEO, and SK Hynix Vice Chairman Park Jung-ho served as Solidigm chairman.
