Jungnang-gu Signs Friendship Exchange Agreement with Goheung-gun on the 15th Promising Cooperation in Culture, Arts, Tourism, Economy, and Private Sector Exchanges
Strengthening Cooperation in Private Sectors such as Youth Exchanges by Utilizing Local Resources like Jungnang-gu Mangwoo History and Culture Park and Goheung-gun’s National Youth Space Center
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) and Goheung-gun (Governor Gong Young-min) signed a friendship exchange agreement for mutual development on the 15th at the planning situation room of Jungnang-gu Office.
The main contents of this agreement include ▲ cultural and artistic exchange projects ▲ linkage of local tourism resources ▲ promotion of excellent agricultural and specialty products ▲ expansion of exchanges at the private sector level. In particular, they plan to actively utilize local resources such as Jungnang-gu’s Mangwoo History and Culture Park and Goheung-gun’s National Youth Space Center to strengthen cooperation in private sectors including youth exchanges.
On this day, Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi of Jungnang-gu and Governor Gong Young-min of Goheung-gun also cross-donated hometown love donation funds, wishing for the development of the friendly cities and the successful establishment of the Hometown Love Donation System.

Many private organization leaders, including heads of the Saemaul Undong chapters from both regions, also attended the agreement ceremony. Notably, the Jungnang-gu Goheung Hometown Association participated and donated hometown love donation funds to Goheung-gun, adding significance to strengthening friendship between the regions.
Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi of Jungnang-gu said, “Through exchanges with Goheung-gun, which is rising as a center city for aerospace, we expect mutual development in various fields such as culture, economy, and tourism,” and added, “I hope Jungnang-gu and Goheung-gun will grow together based on this agreement.”
Jungnang-gu will provide a booth to Goheung-gun for selling local specialty products and promoting the Hometown Love Donation System at the ‘2023 Seoul Rose Festival Main Event’ starting on the 19th of this month, activating exchanges as friendly cities.
Additionally, for the Seoul Rose Festival, which is resuming after four years, delegations from Jungnang-gu’s friendly cities including Kazanluk City in Bulgaria, Gyeongju City, and Damyang-gun will be dispatched. Seven friendly cities will operate local promotion booths, actively engaging in domestic and international exchange activities through the Seoul Rose Festival.
