Gyeongsang National University’s Startup Incubation Center Achieves ‘Best Excellence’ for 10 Consecutive Years

Excellent Achievements Including the Proportion of Innovative Small and Medium Enterprises

The Startup Incubation Center of the Gyeongsang National University Startup Support Group announced on the 16th that it was selected as the best operating institution in the ‘2023 Startup Incubation Center Management Evaluation’ by Gyeongsangnam-do.


With this top rating, the Gyeongsang National University Startup Incubation Center has achieved the remarkable feat of receiving the highest management evaluation grade for 10 consecutive years since 2014.

In this management evaluation by Gyeongsangnam-do, the Gyeongsang National University Startup Incubation Center was recognized for the excellent performance and high satisfaction of resident companies, such as an average sales growth rate of 67% and an 82% ratio of innovative small and medium enterprises, as well as the survival rate of graduated companies, employment and sales growth rates, startup infrastructure, and support programs, earning an S grade for 10 consecutive years.


Since its opening in April 2000, the Gyeongsang National University Startup Incubation Center has expanded startup infrastructure by producing outstanding graduated companies such as ANH Structure, a defense innovation company with sales exceeding 10 billion KRW, and through selection for BI establishment support projects, agricultural startup incubation center construction, and remodeling projects.


This year, it was selected for the BI Incubation Capacity Enhancement Support Project to expand startup support for resident companies. Currently, 35 companies reside in the Startup Incubation Center, and programs such as BM innovation, investment, and networking will be operated to improve startup success rates.


Center Director Shin Yong-wook said, “To align with one of Gyeongsang National University’s four major strategies, ‘Creating a bold startup ecosystem linked to the spirit and history of Gyeongnam (Startup City Jinju),’ we will do our best to leap forward as a university-originated startup support institution representing Gyeongnam through organic cooperation with the university’s Startup Support Group, which was recently selected as the operating institution for the startup-focused university project.”
