Youth Festival Fires the First Salvo
Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, successfully concluded its first-ever youth festival for young people, "Goseong Youth! Playing with Culture and Arts," which attracted great interest and participation from many youths.
The youth festival held on the 13th was attended by about 250 people, including County Governor Lee Sang-geun, National Assemblyman Jeong Jeom-sik, Goseong County Council Chairman Choi Eul-seok, and Provincial Assembly members Baek Su-myeong and Heo Dong-won.
Goseong County in Gyeongnam held its first youth festival, "Goseong Youth! Playing with Culture and Arts," for young people.
As Goseong-gun had never held a festival targeting young people before, this first attempt was an event where youths participated, enjoyed, and hosted the festival themselves. As time passed, the participation of young people increased, creating a lively atmosphere at the venue.
In particular, the interiors and booths filled with youthful sensibility created a free and comfortable atmosphere, making it perfect for enjoying the festival.
Additionally, at the sensory booths, Goseong-gun’s youth clubs and young farmers directly participated, selling food, Goseong specialty products grown by young farmers, and crafts made by young artists at affordable prices, which were very popular among the participating youths. The colorful "My Own Cocktail" experience on the first floor of the Goseong Youth Center also received great enthusiasm from the young attendees.
Governor Lee said, “Since the youth are the central generation leading Goseong-gun, we plan to continue holding events where young people can communicate and empathize until the end of this year.” He added, “The remaining four events will be prepared with various and diverse items, so we ask for the active participation and interest of many Goseong youths.”
