Installation of Gwangyang Tourism Promotion Booth at Large Exhibition Hall
Comprehensive Marketing Including City Tour Operation
Gwangyang City in Jeonnam announced that it is exploring various measures to attract visitors who come to large-scale fairs in neighboring local governments and is continuing all-out marketing efforts.
The city is carrying out diverse promotional marketing to attract tourists visiting the large-scale fair by setting up promotional booths and operating linked city tours.
Since the 11th, a promotional booth has been set up at the Hadong World Tea Expo site, showcasing effective promotional strategies to capture the attention of potential tourists.
This promotional marketing, operated in partnership with the Gwangyang Tourism Association, plans to focus on promoting the Gwangyang City Tour, which makes traveling around Gwangyang easy, and the mobile stamp tour, and will continue until the 16th.
Additionally, during weekends throughout May, a Gwangyang City Tour bus linked with the Hadong World Tea Expo site will be operated.
The tour bus departs from the Expo’s 1st event shuttle bus boarding area (1 PM) and travels to sites including the preserved house of poet Yun Dong-ju, Baealdo Island Garden, Gwangyang Kimsi Historic Site, and Gubongsan Observatory.
Afterward, visitors enjoy dinner at the Yi Sun-sin Bridge Food Town, appreciate the night views unique to Gwangyang Bay such as the Yi Sun-sin Bridge and Sunshine Beach Park, and then return to the Expo’s 1st event site.

Jung Gu-young, Director of Tourism, said, “Visitors to large-scale fairs held by neighboring local governments such as Suncheon and Hadong are potential tourists for Gwangyang. We will make every effort to attract tourists through public-private cooperation, including operating city tours linked to large-scale fairs and outreach promotional marketing.”
Meanwhile, the Gwangyang Tourism Association has continuously conducted promotional campaigns branding Gwangyang tourism targeting potential tourists with diverse tastes, such as Jeonnam Dragons Gwangyang Football Stadium and Suncheonman International Garden Expo.
