The Personal Information Protection Commission evaluates the personal information management level annually for 799 institutions, including central government ministries, affiliated public institutions, and local governments.

The evaluation is based on 78 indicators across five areas: management system, protection measures, infringement measures, innovation tasks, and policy tasks. The National Police Agency scored 98 points, nearly a perfect score, which is higher than the average score of 87.4 for 48 central government ministries.

The National Police Agency received high marks for reflecting the institution's personal information processing status and characteristics well in its personal information processing policy and for appropriate personal information protection measures at each stage of work processing.

A National Police Agency official said, "Given that police work involves handling sensitive personal information of the public, such as criminal investigations and 112 emergency call reception, we will strive to implement strengthened personal information protection policies."
