Uljin-gun, 'Good Morning Mokgong' Continues in May

Since its start in March, the Good Morning Thursday Special Lecture has been held a total of five times through April, covering topics such as ‘Uljin Agricultural Transformation’ and ‘Differentiated Tourism,’ and has been progressing smoothly thanks to the strong response from residents at each session.

In May, the theme of the Good Morning Thursday Special Lecture is ‘Urban Planning! Turning Imagination into Reality,’ with a total of two special lectures prepared.

The first lecture, titled ‘Walking City, Happy City,’ will be given by Professor Jeong Seok from the University of Seoul, and the second lecture, titled ‘Architecture Builds Everyone’s Future,’ will be delivered by Professor Kim Kwanghyun from Seoul National University on the 18th and 25th, respectively.

County Governor Son Byeongbok stated, “This lecture series was prepared to secure perspectives in the field of urban planning through expert lectures, in response to the confirmed attraction of the National Nuclear Hydrogen Industrial Complex to Uljin, addressing issues such as urban regeneration around the industrial complex, countermeasures against local extinction, and urban landscape throughout Uljin-gun.” He added, “We will continue to prepare more substantial and high-quality lectures to satisfy the intellectual thirst of our residents.”

The ‘Uljin-gun Good Morning Thursday Special Lecture’ can be rewatched through the county’s official YouTube channel, ‘Gyeongbuk Uljin-gun.’

In June, an expert lecture on the theme ‘Safe, Uljin! (Disaster Safety Field)’ is scheduled, and any Uljin resident can attend the special lecture on the day without prior registration.
