Regularized Integrity Promotion System Led by Senior Officials
Expected to Secure Momentum for Anti-Corruption Policies
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam plans to establish a clean governance control tower composed of high-ranking public officials and focus all efforts on spreading a culture of integrity and anti-corruption.
On the 12th, the city held the first meeting of the ‘Cheongnyeom Han Leader Group’ attended by Mayor Hong Nampyo of Changwon Special City and senior officials at grade 4 or higher.
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the 1st meeting of the 'Clean Han Leaders' with senior officials of grade 4 or higher in attendance.
At the meeting, the purpose of forming the Cheongnyeom Han Leader Group was explained, and discussions were held on improving weak areas in last year’s comprehensive integrity assessment as well as sharing policies to enhance this year’s overall integrity.
The Cheongnyeom Han Leader Group, a high-ranking anti-corruption practice council, plays a role in establishing and leading a culture of integrity by sharing anti-corruption and integrity policies, monitoring progress, and deriving effective improvement measures through analysis of corruption vulnerability factors.
The city expects that establishing a regularized integrity promotion system led by senior officials will strengthen the momentum and sustainability of anti-corruption policies more than before.
Mayor Hong said, “The role of leaders is paramount in becoming an organization of integrity,” adding, “As leaders, I hope you take the lead and pay attention to instilling a culture of integrity within the organization and raising awareness of integrity among employees.”
