The Pohang area suffered severe damage last September due to Typhoon Hinnamnor, which halted POSCO's operations, but has been overcoming the damage with POSCO's normal operations resumed in February this year and large-scale investments in the secondary battery industry by POSCO Future M and EcoPro.

Jeong Cheol-woo, Commissioner of the Daegu Regional Tax Office, provided five short-form videos on topics including "How to Say Goodbye to Temporary Payments," which contain useful tax information to help reduce taxes, and personally led the communication session to listen to difficulties and suggestions and propose solutions.

Chairman Moon of the Pohang Chamber of Commerce said, "Last September, you visited Pohang in person to listen to the difficulties at the damage sites and provided active tax support such as extending payment deadlines and deferring tax audits for affected companies. This time, we are grateful for creating a good opportunity with consulting necessary for businesses."

In particular, the attendees unanimously said, "It was a very beneficial session that helped solve concerns that always trouble us in running a business, such as temporary payments, business succession, and finding stocks held in name trusts."

Commissioner Jeong of the Daegu Regional Tax Office said, "Since last September at the Hinnamnor site, we have continuously implemented practical measures such as extending payment deadlines and deferring tax audits to help recovery proceed quickly," and added, "This year as well, the National Tax Service will participate and strive further to help small and medium-sized enterprises in the Pohang and Gyeongju areas overcome difficult times and grow by extending corporate and comprehensive income tax deadlines."

The Daegu Regional Tax Office has been conducting touring consultations with chambers of commerce and industry since last year, starting with Gyeongju in February this year, followed by Gimcheon in March, Gumi and Yeongcheon in April, and plans to continue in Chilgok after Pohang.
