The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is recruiting 600 young people to participate in the 'Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year' program, which helps youth find their dreams by challenging themselves to do what they want until the 31st of this month.
The Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year program is designed to support young people who are contemplating their career paths by allowing them to explore and challenge themselves to do what they want.
Eligibility is for youth aged 19 to 34, and applications can be made individually or as a team. A total of 600 participants will be recruited: 300 for the first term and 300 for the second term. The first term starts activities in July, and the second term in August. Not only students on leave or unemployed youth but also university students who can secure project time during vacations or weekends, and youth hoping to change jobs, can participate widely.
The project scope is not limited to topics such as publishing youth-targeted magazines, rural-urban cooperative farming creators, or clothing platform development. In particular, to ensure smooth project progress, mentoring by experts in each field, capacity-building education, and job aptitude tests are provided.
However, projects that are politically or religiously biased, previously introduced in other contests, or infringe on others' copyrights may be excluded from selection.
Youth wishing to participate can apply online through the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation's Jobaba Apply platform by the 31st.
Selected participants will carry out their projects for 100 days and receive project support funds of up to 5 million KRW per person through interim evaluations and other assessments.
