Pastor Divorced for Infidelity and Stepmother
"Suffered Physical Torture and Confinement for 17 Years"
Legal Resolution Difficult as 7-Year Statute of Limitations Has Passed
A woman has drawn attention after revealing through an online community that she endured various forms of abuse from her biological father and stepmother for 17 years.
On the 10th, a post titled "I am a survivor of child abuse" was published on a community site.
The author, identified as A, who claimed to be a victim of child abuse, explained the reason for writing the post, saying, "Because there is no evidence and the statute of limitations has passed, I have kept it buried in my heart, but I feel I cannot live with a sane mind if I continue like this."

A was the youngest daughter among two sons and one daughter born into a pastor’s family. A’s biological father had an affair with a church member and divorced, then left with his stepmother and the three siblings to a rural church located in Chungcheong Province.
A revealed that she suffered dozens of abuses including physical torture and confinement for about 17 years.
She confessed, "When I asked to be allowed to go to the bathroom because I needed to defecate, (the stepmother) told me to poop in my clothes and eat the feces that got on my underwear."
She also said, "They fabricated a story that my older brother and I were in an incestuous relationship," adding, "Although it never happened, I became a child who had sexual relations with my biological older brother since I was four years old."
A stated that the cause of death of her second older brother, who died in the summer of 1999, was also due to her biological father and stepmother. Her brother, who was beaten all day, choked while hastily eating plums and could not breathe properly, but they did not take him to the hospital.
She insisted, "Everything is true," and argued, "The statute of limitations for deaths caused by child abuse should be abolished."
A’s story was previously aired on SBS’s "Curious Story Y" on the 5th.
A and her eldest brother confronted their biological father and stepmother, saying, "We have not forgotten what happened 20 years ago," but the stepmother denied the abuse, saying, "I punished them because they did wrong, I never hit them on purpose."
She also continued to claim, "I saw (A and the eldest brother) having sexual relations after the early morning worship service."
During the conversation, when a church official said, "Admit what was wrong and ask for forgiveness," A’s biological father and stepmother finally knelt down and said, "We were wrong."
Upon hearing this story, netizens responded with comments such as "How did you survive?" and "This is so shocking."
Meanwhile, according to the Child Welfare Act, child abuse has a statute of limitations of seven years, which starts from the day the victim child reaches adulthood. However, in A’s case, it is reported that the statute of limitations has already passed, making legal resolution difficult.
