Gwangju Police Agency Prepares for Terror Threats at 5·18 Memorial Ceremony and Other Major Events

The Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency is preparing for terrorism countermeasures at important events such as the May 18 Memorial Ceremony.

By the 18th, they plan to establish a readiness posture by deploying Gwangju Police Special Forces personnel at multi-use facilities such as Songjeong Station, Gwangju Airport, and the bus terminal.

Two detection dogs, explosive detection and disposal equipment, and anti-drone equipment (signal jammers and drone detectors) will also be mobilized to conduct preventive and inspection activities against various terrorist activities.

A police official stated, "We will carry out various anti-terror safety activities before and after important events to make every effort to ensure the safety of the public."
