Opening on August 10 at Jeju Teddy Valley Golf & Resort
72-hole stroke play, total prize money of 1.2 billion KRW
A new Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour event will be held in Jeju.
On the 11th, KLPGA announced, "We held a signing ceremony for the Doosan Construction We’ve Championship." The tournament will take place over four days starting August 10 at Teddy Valley Golf & Resort in Seogwipo, Jeju Island. It will be a 72-hole stroke play format with a total prize money of 1.2 billion KRW.

Lee Jeong-hwan, CEO of Doosan Construction, said, "We aim to provide players with the opportunity to fully demonstrate their skills and offer golf fans excitement and inspiration," adding, "We will contribute to society through donations and make every effort to ensure this becomes the best tournament." Lee Young-mi, CEO of KLPGT, responded, "We are truly pleased to partner with such a reliable sponsor," and said, "We will prepare perfectly so that the top players can showcase outstanding competition."
Since its founding in 1960, Doosan Construction has grown alongside the history of the domestic construction industry. The company is also committed to the development of women's golf through player sponsorships. This year, they established the Doosan Construction We’ve Golf Team by recruiting Im Hee-jeong, Park Gyeol, Yoo Hyo-ju, Yoo Hyun-joo, and national team member Kim Min-sol.
