Kim Han-jong, the former governor of Jangseong County, Jeonnam, threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Kia vs. SSG professional baseball game held at Gwangju Kia Champions Field on the 10th.
According to the county on the 11th, Governor Kim threw the ball vigorously with the hope for the successful hosting of the ‘Jangseong Hwangryonggang Hong(Gil-dongmu) Flower Road Festival’ and many visitors.

Before the first pitch, he also promoted the flower road festival by distributing promotional leaflets with county officials at a booth set up at the stadium entrance.
The ‘Jangseong Hwangryonggang Hong(Gil-dongmu) Flower Road Festival,’ held for three days from the 19th to the 21st, is a representative spring festival featuring the 10-ri flower road along the Hwangryong River.
On the evening of the opening day, the 19th, invited singers such as Nam Jin, Jang Min-ho, and Hong Jin-young will announce the splendid start of the festival. On the 20th, singers with outstanding vocal skills like Davichi and Park Kang-soo will visit Hwangryonggang for the ‘Spring Flower Healing Concert.’
At the main festival stage, located at the site of the old public stadium, local restaurants, simple food booths, and food trucks will operate. Next to the ground golf course, a sales venue for agricultural specialty products will open, where fresh Jangseong agricultural products can be purchased.
Various attractions such as electric trains, water boats, and hot air balloons also draw attention. At the Hong Gil-dong Theme Park, numerous programs including traditional games and play zones await young guests.
Unique events that can only be experienced at the flower road festival, such as the 44th Namdo Gugak Festival where visitors can fully immerse themselves in the charm of Korean traditional music, and the Namdo Food Movie Talk Show, also catch the eye. After the festival period, there will be a visitor reception period until the 29th.
Governor Kim Han-jong said, “I hope everyone makes many beautiful and precious memories at the ‘Jangseong Hwangryonggang Hong(Gil-dongmu) Flower Road Festival,’ where 10 billion spring flowers along Hwangryong River offer touching experiences.”
