In addition, various employment support programs such as National Competency Standards (NCS) strategies, self-introduction consulting, and career aptitude tests were available, which is expected to be very helpful for job seekers, general job applicants, and students in the region.

The seven public institutions participating in the Gyeongsangbuk-do regional talent recruitment are Korea Expressway Corporation, Korea Transportation Safety Authority, Korea Legal Aid Corporation, Korea Rehabilitation Welfare Corporation, Korea Electric Power Technology, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, and Korea Radioactive Waste Agency.

The seven institutions in the Gyeongbuk region have hired a total of 917 local talents from 2019 to 2022, and this year they aim to hire 212 people.

The mandatory hiring rate for local talent in previous public institutions started at 18% in 2018 and increased by 3% annually until 2022, reaching a hiring target rate of 30%.

Lee Dal-hee, Deputy Governor for Economy of Gyeongbuk Province, said, “Through this joint recruitment fair, we hope to provide quality employment information to talents in Gyeongbuk so that more local talents will be hired by previous public institutions. Going forward, Gyeongbuk Province will continue to make efforts to ensure the successful settlement of previous public institutions in the Daegu·Gyeongbuk region and to expand the hiring of local talent.”
