In the Yes24 comprehensive bestseller list for the second week of May, 'Saeino-ui Gareuchim' (The Teachings of Saeino) held the number one spot for 10 consecutive weeks. The new release in the popular creator Heunhan Nam-mae's children's comic book series, 'Heunhan Nam-mae 13', 'Sajanghak Gaeron' (Introduction to Business Management), which contains the contents of 'Sajanghak Sueop' (Business Management Lessons) by Kim Seungho, chairman of Snowfox Group, and 'Naui Don Manheun Godeunghakgyo Chingu' (My Wealthy High School Friend), which explains the mindset and attitude of the wealthy through realistic episodes, all maintained their positions at 2nd to 4th place, same as the previous week.
The humanities essay 'Modeun Salmeun Heureunda' (All Life Flows), which became a bestseller on Amazon France, ranked 5th. Written by Laurence Devilliers, who was named the best philosophy professor in France in 2022, this book discusses the philosophy of life through the sea and has steadily gained popularity with continuous sales growth over the past four weeks.
Self-development books also stood out. 'Naega Gajin Geoseul Sesangi Wonhage Hara' (Make What I Have Desired by the World), a book by a former vice president of Cheil Worldwide, attracted attention and ranked 13th overall. It contains his unique perspectives, attitudes, and insights accumulated over more than 30 years working at the forefront of creativity in the advertising industry. Released at the end of April, 'Naui Don Manheun Godeunghakgyo Chingu' (My Wealthy High School Friend) took 4th place, and in addition to the 10-week consecutive overall number one 'Saeino-ui Gareuchim' (The Teachings of Saeino), five self-development books including 'Kim Mikyung-ui Maheun Sueop' (Kim Mikyung's Lessons at Forty) at 6th place and 'One Thing THE ONE THING' at 18th place were ranked within the top 20.
The popular children's educational comic series loved by 20 million readers, 'Mabeop Cheonjamon 58' (Magic Thousand Character Classic 58), ranked 20th overall and 2nd in the children's category immediately upon release. It includes a limited first edition appendix of a Chinese character vocabulary workbook covering characters from volumes 54 to 58.
In the eBook category, the new models of the e-reader 'Crema' series, 'Crema Motif' White and Black, took 1st and 2nd place respectively. Bundled products combining Crema Motif with popular comics such as 'Jingyeok-ui Geoin' (Attack on Titan), 'Dune', 'Toemalok' (The Exorcist), and 'Yeollin Chaekdeul Segye Munhak' (Open Books World Literature) eBook sets are gaining attention through discounted sales.
