Sold 1,041 Units in One Day on Parents' Day
22% Increase Compared to Last Year
"Plan to Showcase Differentiated Healthcare"
Healthcare company Bodyfriend announced on the 11th that “we sold 1,041 units in just one day on Parents' Day,” representing “a 22% increase compared to last year's Parents' Day.” This means one unit was sold every 1.4 minutes. The highest record for Parents' Day was 1,259 units in 2021.
The top sales contributor was the ‘Medical Phantom.’ Bodyfriend launched this medical device product last month after three years. It treats lumbar and cervical disc issues, relieves muscle pain, and improves blood flow through thermal massage. It gained popularity quickly, surpassing 10 billion KRW in sales within 10 days of release. The ‘Phantom Robo,’ released last year, also contributed to this sales record.
Bodyfriend explained that the high interest in health combined with gift demand, along with the effect of launching a new product that incorporates Bodyfriend’s unique and differentiated technology, made this sales record possible. According to the lifestyle survey platform A-Fool’s ‘4060 Massage Chair Trend Survey,’ 81.6% of people in their 40s to 60s responded that they were ‘satisfied’ with their purchase. Additionally, 75.1% said they would ‘recommend’ it to others. This indicates that the product was recognized as a filial piety item for Parents' Day.
A Bodyfriend representative said, “Achieving such explosive results in just one day on Parents' Day, despite the consumer sentiment being closed due to the economic downturn, is very meaningful,” adding, “This year, we plan to sequentially introduce differentiated healthcare products that embody the results of our research and development efforts.”
