Com2uS Holdings achieved a turnaround to profitability by posting operating profit in the first quarter of this year.
On the 11th, Com2uS Holdings announced that it recorded sales of 36.4 billion KRW, operating profit of 7.1 billion KRW, and net profit of 4.3 billion KRW in the first quarter. Sales increased by 16.8% compared to the previous quarter, and both operating profit and net profit returned to the black.
Major games such as ‘MLB Perfect Inning 23’, ‘The Walking Dead: All-Stars’, and ‘Gamevil Pro Baseball Superstars 2023’ maintained steady sales, and the increase in investment income from affiliates contributed to the improved performance.
Com2uS Holdings plans to continue improving its performance by strengthening the release of blockbuster games and its game publishing business. It will also fully launch its Web3 business through the expansion of its game platform and the XPLA ecosystem.
In the second quarter, it is preparing to launch the blockbuster massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) ‘Zenonia’. In addition, new games are scheduled to be released. The company will strengthen its game publishing business with titles such as ‘Eternal Samgukji’, where players form their own troops using classic ‘Samgukji’ heroes and engage in large-scale battles, and ‘Project HoL (tentative title)’, based on the intellectual property (IP) of ‘Light’s Successor’.
The game platform ‘Hive’ has secured 20 game companies as clients. Thirty-four games are applying the Hive platform. The daily active users (DAU) surpassed 4 million, more than doubling compared to the same month last year.
XPLA is growing as a global mainnet specialized in Web3 content. This year, well-known games such as ‘Summoners War: Chronicle’, ‘Mini Game Heaven’, and ‘Fishing God: Crew’ are scheduled to be onboarded onto the XPLA mainnet.
