The medical center has thoroughly renovated the inpatient rooms. They also plan to operate a "guardian-free ward," providing 24-hour shared nursing care services through professional caregivers for patients requiring inpatient treatment.

They have secured multiple specialists, including ophthalmologists and dermatologists, to offer a variety of medical services. Additionally, they plan to introduce essential internal medicine equipment such as gastroscopy devices to conduct customized examinations. This will reduce the inconvenience for residents who previously had to travel to the mainland for endoscopy examinations.

Nam Han-kwon, the governor of Ulleung-gun, stated, “Medical welfare is a priority in improving living conditions on the island,” adding, “We will ensure that various medical benefits are available not only to residents but also to tourists visiting Ulleungdo.”
