GS25 245%, GS The Fresh 218% Increase
Recently, amid the ongoing high inflation, pickup orders?where customers pre-order through an application (app) and then visit the store to collect their products?have significantly increased.
According to GS25 and GS The Fresh on the 10th, pickup service sales last month grew by 245% and 218%, respectively, compared to six months ago. During the same period, new customers using the pickup service increased by 168% and 144%.
GS Retail is conducting various pickup service promotions. For example, GS25 offers a 30% discount on sandwich and salad pickup orders from 1 PM to 4 PM. From Monday to Thursday, between 8 PM and 11 PM, a special price of 9,000 KRW for 4 cans applies to five popular beers including Budweiser, Stella, and Hoegaarden. This month, all wine products and highballs are available at a 20% discounted price. GS The Fresh is holding a pickup open-run discount event for premium wines and rare whiskeys, and freshly prepared boneless chicken is offered at 8,900 KRW upon order.
GS Retail plans to enhance the benefits of the pickup service and introduce new content that can create synergy between online and offline by linking with stores.
A GS Retail representative said, “Pickup services are gaining great popularity among customers who want to practice smart consumption amid high inflation by saving on delivery fees and applying discount coupons. We will continue to increase differentiated products and benefits for the pickup service and create ongoing synergy between online and offline channels to simultaneously improve store sales and customer satisfaction.”
