The Korea Transportation Safety Authority announced on the 9th that it will hold the "2023 Korea Drone Global Conference" for three days from the 17th to the 19th at Songdo Convensia in Incheon.
This Drone Global Conference will feature symposiums and seminars under four themes: ▲Drone Delivery & Transportation ▲Overseas Expansion of Drone Companies ▲Next-Generation Talent Development ▲Drone Leisure Sports, and it is being promoted as a sub-event of the 2023 Korea Drone·UAM Expo.
At the Drone Delivery & Transportation Global Symposium held before the opening ceremony on the 17th, domestic and international drone experts from the private sector, government, and academia, including the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Korea Aerospace University, will be invited to present and discuss drone policies, transportation systems, and drone delivery in each country.
In particular, a speaker from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is scheduled to present on vertiport design standards and development plans, which is expected to attract significant interest from UAM (Urban Air Mobility) related agencies and local governments.
Additionally, there will be a "Drone Companies Overseas Expansion Seminar" sharing cases of overseas expansion by domestic and international drone companies; a "Next-Generation Drone·UAM Talent Development & Industrial Education Seminar" where policies for nurturing talent in the future drone and UAM industry can be learned; and the "2023 Drone Leisure Sports Global Seminar," which will explore the domestic and international status of the drone leisure sports field, where Korea is gaining global recognition.
There is no separate participation fee for this conference, and both domestic and international drone industry stakeholders as well as the general public can participate.
Pre-registration and other detailed information can be found on the 2023 Korea Drone·UAM Expo website, and the conference will be live-streamed on YouTube on the day of the event so that all citizens can watch.
