The 18th Yeongyang Wild Vegetable Festival Showcases the Newly Reborn 'Yeongyang Brewery'

Makgeolli 'Eunhasu' Tasting and Sales

The Yeongyang-gun Urban Regeneration Support Center in Gyeongbuk (Center Director Bae Jun-hyun) will operate an urban regeneration promotion booth and hold a flea market called ‘Byeolbyeol Madang’ in the yard of Yeongyang Brewery from May 11 to 14 to promote Yeongyang Brewery, reborn through the urban regeneration project, at the 18th Yeongyang Wild Vegetable Festival.

The flea market ‘Byeolbyeol Madang’ will feature sellers of handicrafts and food, offering handmade accessories, crafts, preserved flowers, porcelain art, dried seafood, local agricultural specialties from Yeongyang-gun, beverages, and more.

There will also be a tasting event for the Makgeolli ‘Eunhasu’ produced at Yeongyang Brewery. The tasting will take place over two days, May 12-13, at two locations: the festival site and Yeongyang Brewery, with Makgeolli available for purchase as well.

Additionally, the ‘Yeongyang-gun Flower Tea Social Cooperative,’ organized through the urban regeneration project within the brewery, officially started operations in early May and will sell flower tea and Makgeolli pudding.

An exhibition space displaying the brewery’s history and photographs has been set up, allowing visitors to learn about the brewery’s history at a glance.

Center Director Bae Jun-hyun said, “We have a great opportunity to introduce Yeongyang Brewery, reborn through the urban regeneration project, to visitors of the Wild Vegetable Festival,” and added, “During the festival period, we hope many people will visit not only the main festival site but also the flea market and Flower Tea Social Cooperative held in the brewery yard.”
