"Delivery of 127 Commercial Aircraft," Airbus Q1 Earnings Announcement

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus announced its first-quarter results on the 8th, delivering 120 commercial aircraft.

Total commercial aircraft orders amounted to 156, with 142 orders after cancellations. The order backlog stood at 7,254 aircraft as of the end of March. Airbus Helicopters recorded net orders of 39 units, while Airbus Defense and Space orders totaled 2.5 billion euros.

The company is accelerating the A220 program, aiming to produce 14 units per month by the mid-2020s. The A320 Family program plans to produce 65 units per month by the end of 2024. The A321XLR, currently undergoing flight test programs, is expected to enter service in the second quarter of 2024.

Consolidated revenue was 11.8 billion euros (approximately 17 trillion KRW), with operating profit at about 390 million euros (approximately 568.4 billion KRW) and adjusted operating profit at about 770 million euros (approximately 1.1219 trillion KRW).

Airbus maintains its annual delivery target for this year, aiming to deliver approximately 720 commercial aircraft.

Guillaume Faury, CEO of Airbus, stated, “This first quarter was boosted by strong demand for commercial aircraft and solid performance in the helicopter business segment, but we continue to face challenging operating conditions, including ongoing supply chain disruptions.”
