The Aisori Festival is a social contribution activity hosted and organized by the Paradise Welfare Foundation and sponsored by Paradise Group. The event, now in its 13th year, was created to improve the quality of life for children and adolescents with disabilities and to raise awareness about disabilities. It provides opportunities to enjoy culture and arts through various contents.
This year's event, held offline for the first time in four years since the spread of COVID-19, took place the day before at Paradise City Chroma in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, under the theme of 'Art Picnic.' In celebration of the Children's Day holiday, it featured art experience booths, artist performances, and K-POP dance cover stages, offering content that the whole family could enjoy together.
In particular, the main program of this event, 'Giant Collaborative Painting,' involved coloring multiple pieces of a painting separately to create one artwork, completed through the cooperation of each participant. The art booths prepared by students and faculty of Kaywon University of Art and Design offered various cultural and artistic contents such as gingerbread house making, face painting, zoetrope and animation experiences, receiving great responses from children.
Choi Yoon-jung, director of Paradise Welfare Foundation, said, "We hope the Aisori Festival will establish itself as an integrated cultural and arts festival that everyone can enjoy together without distinction between disabled and non-disabled." She added, "We plan to continue related projects to respect each individual's uniqueness and diversity and promote harmony."
