Former Woods Girlfriend Claims "Sexual Harassment"

‘Golf Emperor’ Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend Erica Herman (both from the United States) has claimed that Woods sexually harassed her.

On the 6th (local time), American Golfweek reported, "Herman’s lawyer submitted documents to a Florida court," stating, "Herman was sexually harassed by Woods when she was employed by him and was forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement." The outlet also reported, "She was threatened with dismissal if she did not sign the non-disclosure agreement."

Herman was involved in related work when Woods opened a restaurant in Florida in 2014 and continued to manage operations after the restaurant began business. It is known that Woods and Herman started dating in the second half of 2017, and she stood by Woods’ side when he won the Masters in 2019 and when he was inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame in 2022.

However, they appear to have broken up in the second half of 2022. Herman filed a lawsuit against Woods last October. At that time, Herman filed a lawsuit demanding $30 million (about 40 billion KRW) in damages from the corporation that owns Woods’ Florida residence. Although Herman went on vacation, she was unilaterally notified by the corporation owning Woods’ residence that she could not return home, effectively being evicted from the house where she had lived with Woods for nearly six years.

In March, Herman filed a civil lawsuit stating that the “confidentiality agreement agreed upon with Woods is invalid.” Regarding being evicted after living with Woods, Herman’s legal team emphasized, "If an employer provides a different work environment based on a sexual relationship with an employee, that itself constitutes sexual harassment," and "Furthermore, a landlord conditioning co-tenancy on a sexual relationship also violates the U.S. federal and Florida Fair Housing Acts."

Woods married Elin Nordegren (Sweden) in 2004 and had one son and one daughter before divorcing after a sex scandal in 2009. He later dated skier Lindsey Vonn and stylist Kristin Smith (both from the United States), and has been seeing Herman since 2017. Woods withdrew during the third round of the Masters last month and is currently focusing on treatment after undergoing ankle surgery.
