Dementia-friendly villages are designated and operated to create a dementia-friendly environment where dementia patients can live together with residents without being isolated from the communities they have lived in. This year, Cheongsong-gun designated Mungeo 1-ri in Andeok-myeon and Singi 1-ri in Pacheon-myeon as dementia-friendly villages.

One of the elderly dementia patients living alone who received a potted carnation expressed gratitude, saying, "I was about to have a lonely Parents' Day, but I am thankful that the Dementia Safety Center took care of the carnations." A resident of the dementia-friendly village also shared joy, saying, "My children live far away and are busy, so I thought I wouldn't receive fresh carnations, but receiving these carnations on behalf of my children makes me really grateful."

The Cheongsong-gun Dementia Safety Center plans to continue providing various services such as dementia awareness education and dementia prevention programs to ensure ongoing care for elderly dementia patients living alone and residents of dementia-friendly villages.

Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, "We will continue to pay attention so that vulnerable groups do not feel lonely and make greater efforts to eliminate blind spots in dementia care."
