Episode 1059 Lotto 1st Prize Winner Review Sparks Community Buzz
Paying Off Debt and Buying Apartment and Car with Winnings

Amid recent controversies over Lotto manipulation, a post claiming to have won the first prize in the Lotto has been posted on a community site, attracting attention.

On the 3rd, a post titled "Lotto 1st Prize Review (One Month After Winning)" was uploaded on the online community BobaeDream. According to the photos attached by the author, Mr. A, he won the first prize in the 1059th Lotto draw and received a total of approximately 2.033 billion KRW (net amount 1.395 billion KRW).

Mr. A began his review by saying, "I cried and went crazy after winning the first prize." He said that after receiving the prize money, he immediately paid off his debts and bought a new apartment and a used car.

He also mentioned, "I used to struggle working daily labor jobs, but now I am working a bit more comfortably," indicating that he is still doing daily labor work.

Furthermore, Mr. A said he opened a bank account for each of his children and bought meals for his coworkers, then deposited the remaining money into savings.

As Mr. A's post became a hot topic, comments appeared such as, "There have been talks about Lotto manipulation recently; isn't this kind of post uploaded to stop the controversy?" and "It must be rigged."

In response, Mr. A added details about the prize money collection process, saying, "On Monday, after sending the kids to school, I took a train to Seoul. When I arrived at the NongHyup headquarters to exchange the Lotto ticket, an employee told me to follow them."

He also said, "When they asked what I would use the prize money for, I said to pay off debts, so they didn’t try to sell me any savings products."

Mr. A emphasized that this was not rigged, stating, "I didn’t believe it either. There are dozens of first prize winners and hundreds of second prize winners, and even while watching, I cursed a lot."

Meanwhile, in March, an unusual situation occurred where 103 second prize winners came from a single Lotto sales outlet, sparking controversy over Lotto manipulation. In response, the Lottery Commission stated, "There is no possibility of manipulation," and announced that they would hold a public Lotto drawing event in June with observers allowed to attend.
