Gwangyang City Successfully Hosts 'Solo Ending' Event for Single Men and Women

20 Men and 20 Women Attend, Expecting Positive Perceptions of Marriage

Gwangyang City in Jeonnam announced that it successfully held the single men and women meeting event "Solo Ending" on April 29 at Gwangyang Youth Dream Center and one other location.

This event was promoted to provide a healthy opportunity for single men and women who have not had the chance to meet the opposite sex due to busy daily lives.

Prior to the event, the city recruited 40 participants, 20 men and 20 women, who were single office workers aged between 25 and 39 working at public institutions and companies. As a result, a total of 122 people applied, with 75 men and 47 women, showing explosive interest.

On the day of the event, 20 men and 20 women selected through a public lottery participated, and various programs such as a manners lecture, rotation conversations, recreation, and matching card exchanges were conducted under the guidance of a professional MC.

Throughout the event, the enthusiastic participation and laughter of the young men and women created a warm and friendly atmosphere, resulting in a total of 13 couples being matched.

A city official said, "This event had a higher application rate than ever before, and the active participation of the participants stood out," adding, "Next year's event will be planned by improving on this year's strengths and weaknesses to discover venues and programs that satisfy single men and women."
