Cho's visit to Jeonju was reportedly at the invitation of Hwang Hyun-seon, the representative of The Jeonju Forum. On the 3rd, Representative Hwang posted on Facebook, "Cho Min visited. I think she will help promote various parts of Jeonju," and shared a photo of the liquor they brewed together at the Jeonju Traditional Liquor Museum.

Previously, from 2017 to 2019, Representative Hwang served as a senior administrative officer in the Civil Affairs Office of the Blue House under the Moon Jae-in administration, assisting former Minister Cho Kuk. Hwang, who is from Jeonju, also organized Cho Kuk's book concert (A Walk Through Cho Kuk's Legal Classics) held in Jeonju last April.

Meanwhile, Representative Hwang announced his intention to run for the Jeonju district in the 22nd general election scheduled for next year. At that time, Hwang stated, "Ten years ago, I went to the central party to help with regime change and served as the head of the strategic planning team for Moon Jae-in's presidential campaign. Afterwards, I learned and observed a lot while working as the director of the central party's strategic planning bureau and at the Blue House," adding, "With the experience I have accumulated over more than 20 years as an aide, I came to Jeonju with the heart to give back to the region."

He continued, "I have not yet decided on a specific electoral district to run in, but there is a region I have in mind," and said, "I am traveling around the area to gauge public sentiment and receiving a lot of advice from those around me, and I plan to make a decision soon."
