This product development kickoff meeting was an occasion to present the research contents and expected effects of outstanding projects selected as a result of the H CORE Solution product development project contest conducted from February 16 to March 31 in the fields of eco-friendly and low-carbon, smart construction, and safety.
The contest previously held saw participation from domestic construction companies, universities, and research institutes. After a professional review considering marketability, business feasibility, technicality, and ESG corporate performance indicators, outstanding projects were finally selected at the end of April.
Among the selected key projects, notable ones included a project to optimize building structures and improve construction efficiency using the 'H CORE' product, and a project to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in construction processes through the development of solution products utilizing low-carbon steel.
Hyundai Steel plans to conduct joint research to ensure that the outstanding projects can be applied to actual construction sites, expand the usability of the 'H CORE' product brand in the construction market, and contribute to the advancement of future construction technologies, growing it into a brand that co-develops with its clients.
Jung Yudong, Executive Director and Head of Hyundai Steel Product Development Center, stated, "Through the H CORE Solution product development contest, we were able to identify excellent ideas in the construction field," adding, "We will promote the excellence of H CORE products and enhance market competitiveness through continuous joint research between industry and academia."
