Gumi City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Kim Jang-ho) conducted a "Visiting Green Living Practice Education" on the 3rd at the Saemaeul Geumgo in Hyeonggok-dong, with the participation of over 150 citizens.
This education consisted of theoretical lessons including carbon neutrality practice measures and hands-on activities such as planting Gomtopiary air-purifying plants to encourage citizens' participation in green living and the formation of eco-friendly habits.
Living in a carbon-neutral society, participants learned specific rules that can be practiced in daily life and were educated on how to separate and dispose of recyclables, aiming to normalize carbon neutrality in everyday life.
Additionally, during the education, various environmental policies such as carbon neutrality points and greenhouse gas diagnostic consulting were promoted to encourage energy saving and greenhouse gas reduction in daily life.
The Green Living Practice Education is a demand-oriented, visiting carbon neutrality experience class, accepting applications from individuals and groups until May, with a total of 13 sessions planned to be held by August.
Interested citizens can apply through their local administrative welfare center or the Gumi City Environmental Policy Division.
