Carelabs Nine Communication Implements Proto Hologram at International NFT Exhibition

Care Labs subsidiary Nine Communication, a specialist in mobile health and beauty care platforms, announced on the 4th that it showcased its Proto Hologram technology at an international NFT (Non-Fungible Token) exhibition.

The NFT exhibition was held at Japan's largest exhibition center, Big Sight, under the name 'RTFKT SPECIAL EVENT.' It featured works by the world-renowned Japanese contemporary artist and pop artist Murakami Takashi, produced as Nike shoes, with NFTs created based on these works on display.

At the exhibition, Nine Communication demonstrated a digital human based on Murakami Takashi, created in collaboration with RTFKT, acquired by Nike, and motion capture company ROKOKO, interacting through Proto Hologram technology.

Founded in 2020, RTFKT is a company specializing in the metaverse sector. It provides services that grant copyrights to products using NFTs and enables trading with cryptocurrency. In 2021, the global sports brand Nike acquired RTFKT, which was in its first year of operation, to accelerate digital innovation.

Yoo Young-jae, CEO of Nine Communication, said, “It was an opportunity to showcase Proto Hologram technology to a wide audience, including digital human implementation and real-time communication based on real people, in collaboration with companies possessing world-class technology.” He added, “We will continue to discover new content that can be integrated with Proto Hologram technology.”

Nine Communication is the exclusive domestic distributor of Proto Hologram technology. It has been supplying the PORTL EPIC, developed by the US hologram startup PORTL, under the brand-renewed name PROTO EPIC since March last year.
