From the 8th, Busan Gijang-gun will begin accepting applications for the level test for new students enrolling in the 'Hub English Center' summer semester.
The Hub English Center is an English education program operated by Gijang-gun since 2009 to foster global talent, offering 100% practical English conversation classes taught by professional native speakers five days a week.
The tuition fee is 35,000 KRW per youth student and 40,000 KRW per adult.
This summer semester, the Hub English Center will be held at five locations: Gijang Education Happiness Town, Gijang Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Jeonggwan-eup Education Happiness Center, Wolnae Welfare Center, and Ilgwang Hub English Center, from June 1 to August 31.
Additionally, 16 excellent native instructors will be deployed, and for user convenience, shuttle buses will operate at all five centers.
The recruitment targets are students from 2nd grade elementary school to 3rd grade middle school and adults; new students must take a level test before enrolling.
Applications for the level test will be accepted from the 8th to the 12th, with tests conducted from the 15th to the 17th. Detailed application methods can be found on the Hub English Center website.
A Gijang-gun official stated, “We expect that operating the Hub English Center will greatly improve the English education environment within the district and contribute to fostering global talent in the region.”
