Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF) held the inauguration ceremony for the 8th term of the ‘HF University Student Volunteer Group’ on the 3rd at Hakri Village in Gijang-gun, Busan.
Now in its 8th year, the ‘HF University Student Volunteer Group’ consists of 33 members and is divided into three teams: ▲Housing Welfare ▲Elderly Welfare ▲Village Welfare. They plan to directly organize and carry out activities to revitalize the Busan community and improve residential environments until the end of this year.
On the day, HF employees and the university student volunteers added significance by conducting the ‘Cool Roof Social Contribution Activity,’ which helps reduce heat concerns for vulnerable households in the area, along with the inauguration ceremony.
The Cool Roof Social Contribution Activity involves applying a special coating with solar heat blocking effects on roofs and rooftops to lower indoor temperatures.
Participants of the 8th HF University Student Volunteer Group inauguration ceremony are taking a group commemorative photo.
An HF official said, “We are grateful to the university student volunteers who participated in this volunteer activity despite their busy academic schedules,” and added, “HF will continue to fulfill its social responsibility to support communities in need.”
Since its launch in 2016, the ‘HF University Student Volunteer Group’ has carried out activities such as ▲indoor gardening (plant cultivation) for elderly living alone ▲village mural projects ▲financial education for multicultural families.
