The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on that day, 5,774 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, bringing the total to 31,176,660. This is 747 more than a week ago on the 24th of last month (5,027 cases) and 834 more than two weeks ago on the 17th of last month (4,940 cases).
The number of new cases on the previous day, the 30th of last month, was 13,614, which was 1,780 more than a week earlier. From the 25th of last month to that day, the daily average number of new cases was about 13,351. Among the new cases on that day, 23 were imported cases and 5,751 were domestic infections.

As of midnight on that day, the number of critically ill patients hospitalized was 135, one less than the previous day. The number of deaths the previous day was 8, and the day before that was 5. The cumulative number of deaths is 34,487, with a cumulative fatality rate of 0.11%.
