KRW 150 Billion Scale '100th Daycare Center Construction Project'
Hana Financial Group announced on the 30th that it held the opening ceremony of the ‘Chilgok Waegwan Hana Public Childcare Center’ on the 28th as part of its ‘100 Childcare Centers Construction Project’ aimed at addressing the low birthrate issue.
Since 2018, Hana Financial has been promoting the ‘100 Childcare Centers Construction Project’ with a budget of 150 billion KRW to support childcare in vulnerable areas. The newly established ‘Chilgok Waegwan Hana Public Childcare Center’ is the 64th center built through public-private cooperation with Chilgok County.
Hana Financial aims to build 90 public childcare centers, including 30 centers in rural and fishing villages, 18 centers for children with disabilities, and 10 multifunctional childcare centers, as well as 10 workplace childcare centers, including 5 co-prosperity centers to promote regional win-win culture. They plan to complete an additional 27 childcare centers by the first half of 2024. Once 100 childcare centers are completed, they will be able to accommodate about 10,000 children and are expected to create approximately 5,500 direct and indirect jobs, including childcare teachers.
