3-Year Term... Activities as Advisory Member of the Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council and Director of the An Jung-geun Memorial Association
Taeein Co., Ltd. announced on the 28th that CEO Lee Sang-hyun, a third-generation executive of the LS Group, has been appointed as a member of the Gangnam-gu Election Commission in Seoul.
The Gangnam-gu Election Commission oversees public elections, various entrusted elections, and political party funding affairs. It is an affiliated organization of the Central Election Commission, a constitutional institution. The chairman is a sitting chief judge. The commission consists of eight members, including the chairman. The term of office for members is three years.
CEO Lee said, "I feel a heavy responsibility in serving as an election commissioner," adding, "I will faithfully carry out my duties to ensure that elections, the foundation of the democratic system, are conducted fairly and justly."
CEO Lee is currently active as the president of the Korea Hockey Association, a director of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, and a sports committee member of the Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation. He also serves as an advisory member of the National Unification Advisory Council and as a director of the Ahn Jung-geun Memorial Association.
He is a member of the Honor Society, a high-value donor group. He published Korea's first donation guidebook, "Korea Donation Guide Book." He is the grandson of the late Honorary Chairman Koo Tae-hoe and was active as the president of the student council at Hanyang University, coming from a chaebol family background.
