A tragic accident occurred when a large spool of fishing net fiber rolled onto the sidewalk, killing a third-grade elementary school girl who was on her way to school.
The Yeongdo Police Station in Busan announced on the 28th that a 1.5-ton fiber roll rolled down a slope during unloading operations, struck a safety fence, and then hit pedestrians, resulting in four casualties.
According to the police, at around 8:31 a.m. that day, a cylindrical fiber roll rolled down a sloped road in Cheonghak-dong, Yeongdo-gu, and struck three third-grade elementary school students and one woman in her 30s who were walking on the sidewalk.
