Comedian Shin Dong-yup's appearance on the Netflix variety show 'Sex+People: Japan Edition' has sparked a flood of demands for his removal from the MC position on 'TV Animal Farm.'
Released on the 25th, the Netflix variety show 'Sex+People: Japan Edition' is a talk variety show where Shin Dong-yup and singer Sung Si-kyung explore figures within the adult culture industry. The six-episode 'Japan Edition' features actual AV (adult video) actors in some episodes who participated in interviews. They shared stories about the adult culture industry and recounted explicit experiences they had encountered.
They boasted about their income, saying things like "If there's a luxury item I like, I can just buy it," and expressed concerns such as "I couldn't tell my child about my job," and "It's hard because people think we sleep with anyone."
The program also used sexual slang and profanity without filtering. Shin Dong-yup performed a role-play with an AV actor as a workplace superior and a new employee, indirectly experiencing AV filming. The two MCs also visited adult filming locations and adult product companies to receive explanations firsthand.
Some viewers who watched the program expressed discomfort.
