Lee Gi-jae, Mayor of Yangcheon District, held a launch ceremony on the morning of the 27th at the Yangcheon Digital Media Center on the 3rd floor of the district office to strengthen the educational network among parents and to discover and promote policies with high practical impact by forming a ‘Parents Network’ and announcing the start of its activities.
The Parents Network consists of a total of 135 parents from elementary, middle, and high schools in the region, engaging in activities such as parent project participation, promotion, and educational policy proposals. At the launch ceremony, a lecture was given by instructor Kim Hyang-mi on the topic of future education and ‘The Role of Parents as Educational Stakeholders.’

Seocho District (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) signed a tripartite business agreement on the 27th with Seoul National University of Education, a top teacher training institution, and Soongsil University, a leader in AI, to strengthen cooperation with universities for regional development and future talent cultivation.
Mayor Jeon Seong-su of Seocho District said at the signing ceremony, “I hope this agreement will become a key driving force for regional development through effective collaboration with universities,” adding, “We will work hand in hand with Seoul National University of Education and Soongsil University to make Seocho a leading city in the 4th industrial revolution.”
This business agreement includes mutual cooperation in ▲ education, research, and academic exchanges for regional development ▲ operation and development of AI and data-based media education ▲ support for cooperation projects such as employment and entrepreneurship for university students and local residents ▲ exchange of human and material resources for joint cooperation projects.
Taking this agreement as an opportunity, the district plans to strengthen cooperation with Soongsil University and Seoul National University of Education for the ‘Regional Intelligence Innovation Talent Cultivation Project,’ including ‘Practical AI Talent Cultivation Employment Education’ for youth and ‘Digital Education for Residents’ to expand AI awareness. It is also expected to become a new driving force for Seocho District to emerge as a central area for AI industry and talent cultivation in connection with the Yangjae-dong AI Special Zone.
Meanwhile, following the ‘Seocho District-Soongsil University Business Agreement’ signed in July last year for regional intelligence innovation talent cultivation, and the ‘Seocho District-Seoul National University of Education Business Agreement’ signed in November for advancing as an AI hub city, an organic cooperative relationship has been established.

The ‘Cheerful Talk Concert with OneShot Hansol’ was held at 2 p.m. on the 27th at the Heo Jun Museum in Gangseo District, Seoul, gathering over 100 persons with disabilities.
The venue was filled with people, including wheelchair users and visually impaired persons accompanied by assistants, all attending to watch the talk concert.
Held under the theme ‘Rising Toward the World,’ the talk concert aimed to encourage the independence of persons with disabilities and promote the ‘Gangseo Together’ project, which supports the operation of YouTube channels to help socially vulnerable groups become self-reliant.
Visually impaired YouTuber OneShot Hansol, along with panelists including Kim Tae-woo, Mayor of Gangseo District, and Lee Ju-ho, a visually impaired public official at Gangseo District Office, shared sincere conversations based on their stories of overcoming difficulties and experiences as YouTubers.
OneShot Hansol explained, “I started filming my daily life to dispel misunderstandings and prejudices about persons with disabilities and to share the various experiences I have had,” revealing his motivation for starting YouTube.
He then candidly shared the process of becoming a YouTuber with 580,000 subscribers over three and a half years, impressing the audience with his honest storytelling.
Kim Tae-woo, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, is having a conversation with Wonshot Hansol, a visually impaired YouTuber, at the "Cheerful Talk Concert with Wonshot Hansol" held on the 27th at the Heo Jun Museum in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
OneShot Hansol humbly said, “I simply captured and shared the life experiences of visually impaired people, including myself, honestly on video, and I am always grateful that many people have appreciated it.”
Mayor Kim received great applause and response from attendees by sharing all his know-how, from channel operation methods to personal insights, based on his experience running a YouTube channel with 760,000 subscribers.
When asked how the ‘Gangseo Together’ project started, Mayor Kim explained, “It began to create a foundation where persons with disabilities can stand independently as equal members of society, not just as recipients of unilateral support.”
The ‘Gangseo Together’ project is a cherished initiative that Mayor Kim, who campaigned on ‘Walking Together with Socially Vulnerable Groups,’ has promoted since taking office. The core is to support video filming, content production, and channel operation methods so that socially vulnerable groups can directly operate the ‘Gangseo Together’ YouTube channel and build a foundation for independence.
Mayor Kim Tae-woo said, “The main actors of ‘Gangseo Together’ are persons with disabilities, and all profits generated by the project will be used solely for their welfare,” adding, “We will continue to strive tirelessly for the true independence of persons with disabilities.”
OneShot Hansol, who also works as a disability awareness improvement lecturer for the Ministry of Health and Welfare, is making a positive impact by giving lectures to promote correct understanding of persons with disabilities.
Dongdaemun District Presents Appreciation Plaques to Outstanding Donor Organizations for Warm Winter Campaign
Appreciation plaques awarded to 10 organizations that have regularly donated an average of over 5 million KRW annually for 3 years to the ‘Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign’
Dongdaemun District (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) invited outstanding donor organizations participating in the ‘2023 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign’ to the mayor’s office at 10 a.m. on the 27th and presented appreciation plaques.
The district selected 10 organizations that have made regular donations averaging over 5 million KRW annually over the past three years related to the Warm Winter Campaign and awarded them with plaques of appreciation from the mayor.
The recipient organizations are Cham Sarang Practice Group, Dongdaemun District Medical Association, The Better Saemaeul Credit Union, BA&T Co., Ltd., Jang-an 2-dong Residents’ Autonomous Committee, Daesang Corporation, Cheongnyangni-dong Hope Welfare Committee, Cheongnyang Church in Jegi-dong, Jegi-dong Scholarship Association, and Gwangseok Church in Yongsin-dong. Representatives from eight organizations attended the ceremony.

The ‘2023 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign’ was conducted over three months from November 15 last year to February 14 this year, raising approximately 368 million KRW in donations and about 942 million KRW worth of goods, totaling approximately 1.31 billion KRW, marking the highest amount ever recorded in Dongdaemun District. The donations will be used as needed for living expenses, medical costs, and housing support for neighbors in difficulty.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the ‘2023 Nowon District Disabled Sports Association President’s Barrier-Free Forest Walking Competition’ held at 10:30 a.m. on the 27th at the Meeting Square of Suraksan Mountain.
Hosted by the Nowon District Disabled Sports Association, this event featured teams of two, composed of persons with and without disabilities, completing the barrier-free forest walking circular trail together in a spirit of harmony.
The event proceeded with an opening ceremony, welcoming remarks, congratulatory speeches, commemorative photo session, and the barrier-free forest walk at Suraksan Mountain. Park Kang-soo, Mayor of Mapo District, Participates in Flowerpot Painting Work on Red Road
Park Kang-soo, Mayor of Mapo District, visited Red Road on the afternoon of the 26th to participate in painting large flowerpots.
The flowerpots painted that day are large pots that the district has been using to plant crape myrtle and azaleas by recycling discarded flowerpots from the street during the recent Arbor Day event, contributing to the landscape of Red Road.
The district is in the process of assembling over 3,200 pieces of 20cm wide by 24cm high wooden panels (oil painting boards) to transform the dark and monotonous flowerpots into public art pieces.
The more than 3,200 oil paintings were created by local elementary, middle, and high school students, local residents, and Mapo District employees.

Relaxed Screening Criteria and Low-Interest Loan Benefits for SMEs and Small Business Owners
Seongbuk District (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) signed a tripartite business agreement on the 26th with Woori Bank and the Credit Guarantee Foundation to support financial aid for small business owners (special contribution from Woori Bank).
Attendees included Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk District, Jo Se-hyung, Head of Institutional Group at Woori Bank, and Joo Cheol-soo, Chairman of the Credit Guarantee Foundation, who pledged to support relaxed loan screening criteria and low-interest loans for local SMEs and small business owners.
This agreement was made following Woori Bank’s decision to contribute 1.5 billion KRW this year out of a total special contribution of 5 billion KRW over four years.
According to the main contents of the agreement, Seongbuk District will promote loan support, Woori Bank will contribute 1.5 billion KRW, and the Credit Guarantee Foundation will provide guarantee support amounting to 18.75 billion KRW, which is a certain percentage of the contribution.
As a result, SMEs and small business owners in Seongbuk District lacking collateral will benefit from relaxed screening criteria when applying for loans and enjoy interest rates lower than those of commercial banks. These benefits apply from April 26, the date of the agreement.
Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk District, said, “I expect this financial support agreement to greatly help stabilize the management of local SMEs and small business owners who are facing difficulties due to COVID-19, high interest rates, and high inflation.”
