Jangheung-gun Completes Renovation of 'Jeongnamjin Water Science Museum'

Enhancement of Various Experiences and Educational Contents with the Installation of Suyeol Promotion Center

Jeonnam Jangheung-gun Jeongnamjin Water Science Museum will reopen on the 3rd of next month after a three-month renovation.

According to the county on the 27th, a new hydrothermal zone was created inside the Water Science Museum, and the overall remodeling work was recently completed.

Targeting May, the month of family, various experiential and educational contents have been enhanced to welcome residents and tourists.

The newly opened Water Science Museum explains hydrothermal energy and aquatic organisms at a level suitable for child visitors.

The first floor is equipped with a nature-friendly landfill-type aquarium and a hydrothermal photo zone, while the second floor features a hydrothermal energy hall, a 4D theater, and an aquarium.

The third floor, designed as a Su Classroom, offers various contents to increase interest in science and enhance learning comprehension.

The fourth floor, prepared as a resting area, will operate the newly renovated ‘Water Science Museum Dessert Cafe’.

County Governor Kim Seong said, “I hope Jeongnamjin Water Science Museum serves as a scientific playground that stimulates children's curiosity,” and added, “We hope visitors enjoy exciting experiences at the Water Science Museum and create good memories at the Saturday Market and the Hinoki Forest Wood Land.”
