Changwon Sapa Middle School and Gyeongnam Office of Education Preview Future Major Careers

Conducting Major Vocational Experience Education in the Vocational Education Innovation District

On the 26th, the Gyeongnam Office of Education conducted a major vocational experience education program in the Vocational Education Innovation Zone at Sapa Middle School in Changwon.


According to the provincial Office of Education, this education, part of the Vocational Education Innovation Zone project, was promoted to guide elementary and middle school students about future careers related to the innovation zone project fields and to provide students with hands-on experience to help them with career choices.


On that day, drone company experts and vocational education innovation zone professional instructors introduced the talent cultivation projects in future aviation, automotive, biomedical, and smart manufacturing fields to about 100 first-year students wishing to experience vocational training, and taught them how to make and operate paper drones.


The provincial Office of Education plans to expand the target audience and fields of education going forward.

Operating three vocational education innovation zones including Hae-Mirae Automotive and Biomedical Zone, Changwon Smart Manufacturing Zone, Gyeongnam plans to additionally operate three zones in 2023 with a Gyeongnam model: Geochang Digital Elevator, Miryang Nano-Semiconductor, and Geoje Future Shipbuilding zones.


Kim Kyung-gyu, Director of Career Education, said, “We will do our best to support our students from elementary and middle school stages by providing opportunities to experience various occupations so that they can lead the advanced future society based on digital technology and grow into happy technical talents.”
