Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 26th that the prehistoric experience center and Daesin-ri Cultural Experience Center, operated as part of the Hwasun Dolmen World Heritage Site utilization program, are gaining attention as tourist destinations where children can enjoy unique experiences.
At the Dolmen Prehistoric Experience Center, under the theme of 'Dolmen Prehistoric Village Playground,' visitors can experience the lives of ancient people. Various programs are available, including excavation experiences as an archaeologist and VR archery experiences that combine the past and present.
Most programs are free of charge, with only some prehistoric tool-making experiences requiring a fee.
In line with the Hwasun Dolmen Festival, special experiences are being offered on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from April 21 to 30.
From 1 PM to 4 PM, four times a day, a prehistoric life reenactment performance titled 'The Wagu Tribe Returns from Hunting' is held, and the center operates until 9 PM for nighttime activities.
At the Daesin-ri Cultural Experience Center, an eco-friendly dishwashing bar-making paid experience and a Dolmen library are operated with the aim of protecting the natural environment.
Additionally, during the Dolmen Festival period, balloon art and dalgona candy-making experiences are provided for visitors at the entrance of Daesin-ri, Chunyang-myeon.
Since its opening, the center has been thriving with the highest number of participants in the experiences.
Admission to the Hwasun Dolmen Site and experience centers is free, and they operate year-round except during holidays and severe weather conditions.
Operating hours are daily from 10 AM to 5 PM.
