The education was conducted over 60 hours in a total of 15 sessions, twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) from February 22 to April 21.

The curriculum started with the theme of successful strategies for returnees to farming and rural areas, and included cultivation science, safe use of agricultural machinery, crop-specific cultivation techniques, understanding of eco-friendly agriculture, and on-site education such as visits to farms with excellent cases of returnees, enhancing the satisfaction of the trainees.

One trainee who completed the course said, “There were many difficulties settling in the rural area after returning to farming, but through this education, I acquired cultivation techniques from crop-specific experts and saw successful cases of returnees, which increased my motivation to farm. It was also very good to form a personal network with other returnees to farming and rural areas.”

Kim Ssang-su, director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, “We will continue to conduct various educational programs to help new farmers settle in farming and do our best to ensure their stable settlement in the county.”
