Galaxia Moneytree announced on the 25th that it has formed a consortium and signed a business agreement to collaborate on a "resident-participation renewable energy financial service project utilizing token securities (STO)." The consortium includes Eugene Investment & Securities, SK Securities, and climate fintech startup Five Node.
The signing ceremony, held on the 24th at SK Securities located in Mapo, was attended by Ko Kwang-rim, Head of New Business Division at Galaxia Moneytree; Kim Seong-mu, Head of Digital Business Division at SK Securities; Park Seung-hyun, CEO of Five Node; and Song Kyung-jae, Head of Strategic Planning at Eugene Investment & Securities. The consortium members agreed to cooperate on ▲tokenization of renewable energy power generation projects ▲blockchain security measures necessary for operating token securities services ▲establishing investor protection plans for the overall token securities business ▲and exploring other collaboration opportunities required for the project.
Accordingly, Galaxia Moneytree will be responsible for the distribution of token securities. Eugene Investment & Securities will handle the trust of renewable energy-related underlying assets and issuance of token securities, SK Securities will act as the account management institution, and Five Node will oversee the consortium, managing investor recruitment and tokenization.
This business agreement was signed with the aim of facilitating smooth fundraising for renewable energy power generation projects, activating resident participation, and creating new investment opportunities by utilizing token securities technology. It plans to establish a foundation that allows residents near renewable energy power plants to easily participate in investments. By providing project progress information, subscription, recruitment, investment procedures, profit distribution, and post-management services, the goal is to enhance residents' access to information and improve community acceptance.
Ko Kwang-rim, Head of New Business Division at Galaxia Moneytree, stated, "We will rapidly advance the project by collaborating with Five Node, which is promoting blockchain projects with Korea Southern Power, and with Eugene Investment & Securities and SK Securities, leaders in the STO business." He added, "Individual investors will be able to invest more easily in renewable energy projects, and issuers will be able to conveniently raise the necessary funds in the market."
