BPA and Busan Environmental Corporation Sign Agreement to Reduce Fine Dust on Busan Port Roads

Busan Port Authority (BPA) signed a business agreement with Busan Environmental Corporation on the 24th in the conference room on the 3rd floor of its headquarters to expand the operation of road dust suction vehicles at Busan Port.

In the areas near Busan Port, two water spraying trucks and two dust suction vehicles are currently operated to reduce scattered dust, but with the successive opening of new piers, the need to expand the operation of port road cleaning vehicles has increased.

The 6th pier on the south side of the New Port opened in September last year, and the 2nd to 5th phases of the West Container Pier are scheduled to open in the second half of this year.

Accordingly, BPA decided to operate additional road dust suction vehicles in cooperation with Busan Environmental Corporation and signed the business agreement on this day.

BPA stated that with the operation of road cleaning vehicles by Busan Environmental Corporation, approximately 8.3 tons of fine dust will be additionally removed annually, contributing to the improvement of air quality in the port area.
