The Korea Productivity Center (Chairman An Wanki, hereinafter KPC) announced on the 24th that it will conduct the '2023 Industrial Professionals AI Competency Enhancement Support Training' from May to November in collaboration with the Korea Integrated Logistics Association (Chairman Choi Wonhyuk).


This training is divided into three categories according to the target audience: leader training, incumbent training, and AI convergence expert training. Among these, KPC specializes in operating incumbent and AI convergence expert retraining programs. The goal is to nurture 280 mid-level managers working in logistics and distribution industries and 40 re-employed trainees with experience in IT practitioners and IT sectors.

The KPC Industrial Professionals AI Competency Enhancement Support Training consists of ▲a basic course for incumbents to develop data analysis and AI models without coding ▲an advanced course for incumbents to solve issues in the distribution logistics industry based on AI technology ▲an AI convergence expert course to plan and develop AI services needed in the logistics and distribution industry field. The training topics were selected focusing on major issues and difficulties within the logistics and distribution industry, which enhances the applicability of the training to the field. Practical exercises are also conducted based on logistics and distribution industry data.


Applications for the training can be made through the KPC website. Those who are mid-level managers in the relevant field or have experience in the IT sector can enroll. The training is completely free of charge, including textbooks and meal expenses. Yoo Seungkyung, a specialist at the KPC Job Training Center, said, "With the introduction of AI technology, many innovations are occurring in the logistics and distribution industry, and the AI competencies of incumbents have become increasingly necessary." He added, "Through this training, we will strive to nurture AI professionals in the logistics and distribution field to contribute to digital transformation and productivity improvement within the industry."
