- Partnering with Bluefarm Korea, which has over 27,000 hospital and clinic members, to develop sales channels
- Expecting synergy between the distribution network of the medical supplies exclusive online mall and the non-face-to-face medical consultation solution
SolDoc, a non-face-to-face medical consultation solution company, announced on the 24th that it has signed a business agreement with BluePharm Korea, an e-commerce platform exclusively for hospitals and clinics, regarding member recruitment. SolDoc plans to accelerate the development of sales channels for its solutions through collaboration with BluePharm Korea, which has over 27,000 hospital and clinic members.
Earlier this year, SolDoc launched the first online prescription and patient management solution specialized for non-face-to-face medical institutions in Korea. As of the end of March, about 500 hospitals and clinics have adopted the SolDoc solution.
The advantages of the SolDoc solution include convenience in use alongside existing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems established during face-to-face consultations, and secure medical data management and protection capabilities utilizing its own cloud server.
BluePharm Korea is an online mall specializing in pharmaceuticals and medical supplies operated by BlueMTech, which was selected as a ‘Baby Unicorn’ startup by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2021. It currently has over 27,000 hospitals and clinics as members. Healthcare industry insiders expect that BluePharm Korea’s marketing capabilities and distribution network, built through operating an online mall exclusively for hospitals and clinics, will also play a significant role in the distribution of IT solutions.
Jung Byung-chan, CEO of BlueMTech, said, “We hope that BluePharm Korea’s distribution network for hospitals and clinics and IT service capabilities will help promote SolDoc’s competitive IT solutions to BluePharm Korea’s customers.”
SolDoc plans to focus on securing solution clients and advancing its technology. In December last year, SolDoc obtained four patents related to telemedicine technology and is concentrating on technology development with the goal of registering more than 10 patents by this year. Based on this technological capability, SolDoc will also introduce a next-generation solution that can be directly linked with existing EMR systems to the market.
SolDoc aims to make its medical institution solutions business and its non-face-to-face medical consultation platform for general patients the two main pillars of the company’s growth.
The non-face-to-face medical consultation platform operated by SolDoc has shown rapid growth over the past year, with both the number of consultations and transaction amounts increasing by about 600% compared to the previous year. The number of consultations increased by 567% compared to 2021, and the transaction amount within the service rose by 603%. The cumulative number of users has also exceeded 500,000.
A SolDoc representative said, “We are pleased to be able to introduce SolDoc’s safe and convenient non-face-to-face medical consultation environment without time and space constraints to over 27,000 member companies through BluePharm Korea. We also expect to strengthen partnerships by providing convenience and additional benefits through the IT platform to SolDoc adopters.”
