Samsung Electro-Mechanics Hosts Family Invitation Event for Employees in Celebration of Family Month

'Family Day' Held at Suwon Business Site on the 22nd

On the 22nd, Samsung Electro-Mechanics held an event at its Suwon plant inviting employees' families to celebrate the weekend. The event was attended by Samsung Electro-Mechanics President Jang Deok-hyun along with 20 employee families (80 people) who have elementary school children.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics organized the event as a program to spend time expressing gratitude among family members in anticipation of the upcoming Family Month. The program included visiting the actual office space where dads and moms work, followed by activities such as children making flower balloons.

President Jang made a surprise appearance at the event, giving gifts to participants, chatting with the children, and taking photos, spending time together with employees' families. At the event, President Jang said, "Thanks to the families, employees have worked hard, and as a result, the company has been able to grow." He continued, "Through the dedication of employees and the efforts of their families, Samsung Electro-Mechanics is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year," adding, "We ask for your support so that the company can continue to grow and remain sustainable."

Samsung Electro-Mechanics promoted this event to allow employees to tour their workspaces with their families and participate in programs together, creating good memories for the children. Similar events will be held at domestic plants going forward. Including five sessions at the Suwon plant, a total of 13 sessions are planned. On the 5th of next month, in celebration of Children's Day, about 9,300 employees and their families will be invited to three plants in Suwon, Sejong, and Busan to participate in an event under the theme "Together with Family."

Meanwhile, as part of its family-friendly management, Samsung Electro-Mechanics operates various programs. These include family counseling programs, family care leave for major surgeries and nursing care, operation of in-house childcare facilities, and kindergarten fee support, all aimed at promoting work-life balance.
